    Gentle Evening Yoga with Ellen

    This gentle yoga class is a meditative, fluid, and soothing class suitable for all levels. Students will experience slow movements to warm the body and release stress and muscular tension, breathing techniques to support the nervous system, and simple postures to help build strength and stability. Suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Bring your mat and water bottle, as well as blocks and strap (towel) if needed. We will have some yoga mats and blocks available to borrow.     Slow Flow Afternoon Yoga with Ellen

    This yoga class moves slowly and with intention so that the student can focus on being in the present moment. The integration of breath while holding poses for longer periods of time allows students the option to go deeper in a pose or find more softness. Suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Bring your mat and water bottle, as well as blocks and strap (towel), if available. We will have some yoga mats & blocks available to borrow. This class will meet inside CVU.
  • East Coast Swing Dancing for Beginners Continued...

    David Allan has been teaching swing dance for over 15 years! He has taught at Middlebury and St Michael's colleges, the Waldorf schools and many townhalls throughout VT. You will learn the fundamentals of leading and following which include correct body posturing, connection and foot work. This class is a continuation of the Access class, East Coast Swing Dancing for Beginners or for those that need a refresher! Both couples and individuals are welcome! We will be regularly rotating among all class members for a better dancing experience. Couples will have a chance to practice together towards the end of each class. During registration, you will be asked if you prefer to Lead, Follow, or no-preference. To create a balanced class we may ask partners to be flexible. Please wear any flat sole shoe. A leather sole or tennis shoes are good options. No experience necessary, ages high school and older are welcomed! This class will meet inside CVU.

    Intro to Yang Tai Chi

    Join us for an introduction to the art and practice of the style of Tai Chi Chuan made famous by the Yang family. Strengthen the core, and improve balance and presence of mind. All levels of experience are welcomed! This class will meet inside CVU.
  • Kriya Yoga with Lish

    Kriya Yoga, as taught by Lish, is a fun, not too serious approach to yoga. Each 90-minute session is excellent for joint mobility and tones the digestive, nervous, immune, and endocrine systems. Experienced yogis, beginners and the not so flexible are all welcome at this beneficial practice. Bring a yoga mat, water, and something to sit on. Drop-ins are welcome to this class; register here for the full session or bring $20 (cash or check payable to "CVSD") to the instructor, Lish. For students aged 13 and older. This class will meet inside CVU. Please check in at the entrance of CVU prior to the first day of class.

    Zumba with Dillon!

    Zumba takes the "work" out of workout by bringing a dance party to your fitness routine. High and low-intensity calorie-burning moves that focus on cardio, muscle toning and balance will be a focus. Expect a blend of Latin, hip-hop and African rhythms that guarantee tons of fun. Stylistic and fitness variations make this class accessible for participants of all abilities and ages. No dance experience is necessary. See you on the dance floor! Bring a water bottle and small towel, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. This class will meet inside CVU.
  • Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Heather - ONLINE

    Join Heather for a four week series of vinyasa flow yoga. This class will allow you to explore arm balances and see how strong you can feel after practicing. We will work on a few arm balances, using variations, and even work on Bakasana (Crow Pose), for those of you who’d like to try. This series is intended for those with experience as well as the true beginner. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat and any props you enjoy. We'll also have some mats available to borrow. This class will meet online via Zoom. The instructor will send out a Zoom invite before the class starts.
  • i-STRIKE Self-Defense Workshop

    This i-STRIKE self-defense course is designed for women of all ages and capabilities, with a specific focus on sexual assault situations. In addition to learning effective physical techniques, your voice will become louder and more affirmative in setting verbal and physical boundaries, and you’ll learn to trust your intuition. This class is intended for women, including transgender and non-binary individuals. This is team taught with a male black-belt who wears a full contact suit attending the second session. No previous martial arts experience needed. This class will meet inside CVU.
