In this demo-style class, Louis will offer basic instruction in the principles and techniques sharpening of various household tools such as kitchen knives, scissors, and garden implements. Bring in one or two items that warrant sharpening and/or adjusting and learn which sharpening tools of the trade would be best for each implement. Instructor sharpening up to two-items is included in the fee. Honing stones, files, strops, sharpening jigs and other devices commonly used in sharpening will be available for either demo and some hands-on practice depending on your level of comfort, desire and safety. I enjoyed the class and found it informative. The instructor was able to provide information and techniques useful to both novices and more experienced participants.
