Join us for this new course offering with woodworker, Tony Hashem. During this hands-on, one-session, using repurposed pallets and other hardwoods, you will make one functional and beautiful coat rack with hooks and a shelf!
Students will be able to select between several species of wood, including oak, maple, poplar Mahogony, cherry, walnut, pine and others to fit with their personal decor. The process to make this shelf will require measuring, cutting, gluing, and drilling to assemble their pieces.
Students can customize, within reason, the size of the rack and select the number of hooks (max 6) needed to make their racks. (option to bring in your own hooks, otherwise hooks as pictured will be provided)
All materials and tools are included in the fee for this course.
Note: The electric tool usage can create a bottleneck in the shop, so please be patient and use this time to learn and help others during class time.
Please bring safety glasses and a dust mask if you have one. We have a small supply on hand. Long hair will need to be tied back and no open toed shoes.
