Join Krista to learn to make a Gingerbread cottage just in time for Valentine's Day. You'll bake, decorate, and build a sweet gingerbread cottage perched on a 6 inch gingerbread cookie that you can take home and display.
You'll go from dough to fully decorated and assembled over the course of one evening. Krista has been teaching the ins and outs of gingerbread house making for many years and she's so excited to offer her first class with Access and share all of her best tricks from making the dough to decorating to assembling (Be sure to ask her about the year she made 250 Gingerbread houses in one holiday season!).
For students aged 13 and older. Younger students are welcome to join with an adult to decorate a cottage together.
Krista Willett is a natural teacher. She has a wide range of interests that she enthusiastically and skillfully shares with others. Krista's formal teaching experiences include: elementary education, culinary classes for adults working towards certification, cross-country skiing to visually impaired and blind adults, swimming, and training bakers. She is an Origami Enthusiast and has taught everyone from first graders to seniors at libraries, schools and at the Origami National Convention. Informally, Krista has shared her knowledge with anyone who shows the slightest interest in learning- knitting, gardening, basket making, canoeing, gingerbread houses from scratch, and raising monarch butterflies. Krista does not crochet.
