Hand Woven Bookmark for Beginners
ARTS & CRAFTS
Using yarn, a small handheld loom, and a needle, learn how to make a handwoven bookmark in this step-by-step workshop. Experimenting on this small weaving will help you discover some of the little tricks and techniques needed to eventually make a large-scale wall hanging you love. As this is a beginner class, we will just be using the tabby or plain weave technique. We will also go over a brief description of weaving terms. Each participant will leave with one woven bookmark. A selection of yarn colors will be available to choose from. An option to borrow or purchase the loom will be available during registration; looms are $10 to purchase. For ages 13 and older. "Molly provides great overall instructions and individual guidance as needed. Wonderful music in the background contributed to a relaxing atmosphere while we basked in the calm of poking wool with special needles... creating individual works of art." "Molly is a talented and joyful human that shares her art with other generously. I felt safe to learn and excited about felting under her guidance. I would not hesitate to recommend her classes."

Needle Felted Woodland Fairies (Advanced Beginner)
ARTS & CRAFTS
Transform raw wool into whimsical woodland fairies using the art of needle felting with Molly. Guided step-by-step, you'll create a unique Waldorf inspired fairy with decorative elements over the course of two nights. In the first class - participants will plan out their fairy vision, learn how to build an armature (wire frame), and sculpt figures to create a body. In the second class - participants will learn how to add decorative details to bring their fairy to life, as well as finishing techniques. All materials included. Each participant will go home with one needle felted fairy, either finished as an ornament or mounted on a wooden block, and two felting needles to continue the fun at home. This class is geared toward non-beginners - those who have taken at least one class & are familiar with the basics of needle felting. For ages 13 and above. Please be advised that needle felting requires the use of very sharp needles & manual dexterity. "Molly provides great overall instructions and individual guidance as needed.
