Mantras & Mala Bead Necklace Making

ARTS & CRAFTS -
Fall/Winter 2024

Learn how to make your own mala bead necklace with gemstones, lava, rudraksha and wooden beads. Mala bead necklaces have 108 beads and a tassel and are used to count mantras when meditating. When not being used as a tool, these necklaces symbolize our intent and presence through the power of their gemstones.  These are beautiful creations, and perfect to wear all year around, or give as a very special gift.

Laura Neal of Malas & Mandalas will teach you about the different properties of gemstones as well as discuss mantras to use with your Mala necklace.

All quality materials such as beads, gemstones, strands, etc. are included in the fee.

Beads, Malas and Students!

"Laura was a great instructor! She included numerous “value-adds” to the class and I loved the selection of gems and stones. Lots of follow-up, handouts, etc. Excellent class!"
"What a fun class!  Laura was engaging, informative and helpful.  I love my mala bead necklace and wear it proudly!"

Laura Neal is a yogi and jewelry maker located in Burlington, Vermont. Laura became inspired to start her jewelry company Malas and Mandalas after travelling to India for a yoga teacher training where the spirit and culture was in abundance. She wanted to bring a piece of that back home with her and create jewelry that brings spirituality into everyday life and helps us connect deeper with our true selves. Laura specializes in making hand knotted mala bead necklaces with 108 beads which can be used to count mantras during meditation practice, as well as essential oil diffusing bracelets.
