This is an open studio style, 10-session workshop, designed for those that have some bowl turning experience and feel comfortable in a woodworking shop and using a lathe. With a small class size of 6, this allows each student to work on their own lathe while Eddie supervises and helps guide novice wood bowl turners. Blanks will be available to purchase ($10 each- cash), or BYO wood blanks.

"Eddie and this class was just the bowl-turning experience I was looking for. I’d had some prior turning instruction and time on the lathe, but with Eddie I was able to work semi-independently, make my own errors, ask for advice and really progress. Hope to be able to continue with the class and to improve from here."- Student
"Eddie Krasnow brings just the right mix of years of teaching experience and a love for bowl-turning to the class. He knows when to allow students independence at the lathe, and when to wander over to offer helpful suggestions. He is just the instructor I was looking for."- RF
After organizing wood bowl turning classes as director of the Access program, I could not resist taking the class myself. Of all the hands on learning I have enjoyed over the years, turning green wood has become my #1 passion. I love turning green wood bowls! Each piece of wood is alive with smells, twists and turns, and tactile surprises. Still a hobby in my retirement, I do enjoy sharing my love of turning with fellow turners. Although most of my bowls are given as presents to family and friends, occasionally I'll work on a special order!
