    Therapeutic Massage Techniques for Managing Headaches, Neck and Shoulder Tension

    Have you always wanted to know how to best give a therapeutic neck and shoulder massage to help someone reduce the effects of stress and common postural work habits? Join Kirsten, a certified massage therapist, to better understand the common causes of headaches, neck aches, weakness and numbness in upper extremities and how to best manage these symptoms. With hands-on practice and learned practical techniques you will begin to ease the tension in those areas using acupressure and traditional massage therapy. You will receive both digital and paper handouts as well as a video to help you practice at home.     Oxygen Advantage® Breathing Workshop Series

    How we breathe impacts how we feel, move and sleep. Our breathing influences our nervous system and our overall well-being. These 1 hour-long sessions will be centered around improving oxygen intake throughout your body through functional breathing training. Over the course of 4 sessions, you'll learn how to increase your breathing efficiency, the science of breathing, and techniques to increase concentration, emotional resiliency, and performance. Learn techniques to connect to now and develop your breathing toolkit. The first class will be focused on breathing biochemistry, the second class on breathing biomechanics, the third class on cadence or breathing rate. The final week, we'll review and put all the techniques and skills you've learned together. For the workshop you should dress comfortably and be prepared to stand, move, and sit. No props needed. Class is appropriate for all that are 13 and older.

You will leave with a better understanding of how to incorporate meditation into your own life and different techniques to try. This class will also leave you wanting to dive deeper and discover more about the practice and beliefs of the Buddhism faith.
