Everyone has a story. Come and share your story of adventure! Join author C. Jane Taylor in an evening of storytelling. Jane will kick off the event with a short reading from Spirit Traffic, her new adventure memoir (published by Magic Hill Press) about learning to ride a motorcycle at age 50 and embarking on a life-changing, seven-week, 10,000-mile motorcycle trip with her husband and son. After her reading, participants will be invited to share their own stories on the theme “Adventure as I see it.” Each story should illustrate a lesson learned and be limited to five-minutes. Please prepare your personal story ahead of time. Spirit Traffic has been featured in several national magazines, on podcasts, and on Vermont Public. The book was also the subject of a national book tour— by motorcycle—during the summer of 2022. Included in the class fee if a copy of Jane's book, Spirit Traffic, valued at $18. Connected: Understanding & Growing your Relationship with your Child
In parenting, we often focus on what we should do: What do I do when my toddler tantrums? What do I do when my teen is disrespectful? What we do is important, of course. Yet equally important is who we are to the child, our relationship with them. Learn how this relationship works in its healthy form and the core needs we fulfill within it for our kids to grow into their best selves. This class will meet inside CVU.
