    Pottery with Supervision- 12 weeks, PLUS Bonus Open Studio!

    This class is open to those who have taken pottery at Access before or whom have an in-depth understanding of pottery and would like a guaranteed time, space and supplies to work independently on their wheel or slab projects. A ceramics supervisor will be available for questions and to help you with your projects and the studio space, however no direct instruction is available. Students are encouraged to continue learning new methods, learning from each other, and expanding their independent practice. We regret that we cannot offer the space or materials for production of quantity pieces. A wide assortment of low fire glazes, 1 block (25lbs) of no-talc low fire white clay, and kiln costs are included in the fee. Firing schedule will be at the discretion of the supervisor. In addition to 24 hours of studio time, this class also includes open studio sessions (unsupervised) on Mondays 5-8pm through the end of Dec.

    Ceramics: Wheel-Throwing and Hand-Building- 10 weeks, Plus Open Studio!

    This 10 week class is open to all levels of students who are interested in learning more about hand-building and wheel-throwing. Pots, Platters, ornaments, tableware, tiles, and gifts are possible in this very popular Access class. Jen brings over 20 years of pottery expertise to Access learners, and will focus on helping you advance at your individual learning level. Students may develop skills at their own pace while expressing themselves creatively through clay. BONUS: Unsupervised open studio hours are available on Monday's 5-8pm and will begin on March 13. Low-fire glazes, 1 block (25lbs) of no-talc low-fire white clay, and all firing costs are included in the fee.

    Ceramics- Hand-Building: Home Decor and Tea Lights

    This 6 week class is open to all levels of students who are interested in learning more about the different hand-building techniques. Create custom pieces to spruce up your home or give as gifts! We'll explore hand-building clay pieces to make tea light lanterns, coasters, trivets, napkin rings & more! Students will learn techniques along the way such as using textures & carving to enhance their original pieces. Students may develop skills at their own pace while expressing themselves creatively through clay. Low-fire glazes, up to 25 lbs of no-talc low fire white clay, and all firing costs are included in the fee. BONUS: Unsupervised open studio hours are available on Monday's 5-8pm and will begin on March 13.
  • Ceramics: Hand-Building Terracotta Planters

    Learn how to make beautiful terracotta planters using slabs just in time for Spring. Students can either make 1-2 larger planters for flowers or 3 small planters with a tray for kitchen herbs. Experiment with applying natural textures, decorative coils and wax resist to enhance pieces. All glazes and firing costs included in fee as well as open studio time. All levels welcome! Limited spots available.
