Fused Glass Ornaments
Come to this workshop to learn about fused glass and make your own Holiday Ornaments, or sun catchers while you're at it. You will be able to make 3 items during class; either 3 individual ornaments, or combine your pieces into a single sun catcher. This workshop will include instruction on using hand tools to cut the glass and using a grinder to get the shape you want. All materials are included in the class fee.Micaela will take your finished product after the class to fire them in a glass kiln; they will be available for pick-up at CVU a week later.No experience required. For students ages 13 and older.Students aged 8-12 are welcome; they should register with an adult who is also registered for the class, and plan to have one dedicated adult for each child attending.This class will meet inside CVU.

In this introduction to watercolor painting, this is a 10 session (20 hours) will promise to give you the skills required to enjoy watercolor as your new loved hobby! Learn the foundations of this versatile and creative medium: Design layouts, color palettes, composition, texture, and light will all be covered. Ginny Joyner, a professional watercolor illustrator, leads everyone through exercises designed to explore the many techniques associated with watercolor. No previous art experience required. Open to all ages and levels! Quality materials are important in watercolor and are included in the fee, valued at $75. Kits will be available the first day of class. Getting to Know Your Car Workshop

Do you have any idea how to check if the oil is low, change a tire, add basic fluids when needed? Want to be informed about what to know when buying a used car? Join the techs from Girlington Garage, girlingtongarage.com, for a quick, down and dirty look at the basics of car care. Get to know the basic layout of your car under the hood, Vermont State Inspection requirements, how to avoid getting taken advantage of at the repair shop, or anything else concerning cars that you would like to know. This class involves lots of standing. You are encouraged to bring a folding/camping chair if you would prefer to sit. This class will meet outside CVU.

CyberSecurity: Protect Your Personal Information - ONLINE
COMPUTERS & TECHNOLOGY
Join Mike, retired Director of Network Services at CVSD, as he shares his expertise in taking the recommended steps to protect yourself in our current cyber-landscape. Everyone will be provided with valuable tools to check your current security, assess your own situation, and protect your information. In today's world, keeping your personal information safe when online, is becoming more important and harder to do! In this course, you will learn of the threats we face, how to see if your information has been compromised, and the steps to take to protect yourself. Cyber-thieves work hard to steal information for profit, yet there are ways to block their efforts. Be proactive and join us for this interactive presentation and informative discussion. Questions encouraged! This is an online class. You will receive an email with information from the instructor on how to attend via Zoom or Google Meet.
