  • Zumba with Dillon!

    Zumba takes the "work" out of workout by bringing a dance party to your fitness routine. High and low-intensity calorie-burning moves that focus on cardio, muscle toning and balance will be a focus. Expect a blend of Latin, hip-hop and African rhythms that guarantee tons of fun. Stylistic and fitness variations make this class accessible for participants of all abilities. No dance experience is necessary. See you on the dance floor!   • Women's Monday Yoga Hour

    Yoga is an excellent self-care tool for women. Join us for an hour of yoga dedicated to the changing needs of the female body. In this light-hearted, energetic class, explore postures for better pelvic floor health, stronger bones, and looser joints. Your low back, hips, shoulders, and neck will love you for it. You’ll take away a little something you can do every day at home or at work to feel better about your body and yourself. Each class has a unique theme and postural sequence designed to make you feel good in your body, mind, and heart. All levels welcome. Mats available, or bring your own.   • Intro to Yang Tai Chi

    Join us for an introduction to the art and practice of the style of Tai Chi Chuan made famous by the Yang family. Strengthen the core, improve balance and presence of mind. We will focus on the beginning of the long form in eight sessions and create a small form that students can practice on their own. No previous experience is required and all levels of experience are welcomed! This class will meet inside CVU. Please wear a mask and checkin at the front entrance of CVU before the first class.
  • Tuesday Bootcamp - OUTSIDE

    DROP AND GIVE ME 20! Just kidding...kinda ;) I'm no drill sergeant but I do guarantee a mean workout at this Bootcamp class! Test your grit and strength by challenging yourself with varying timed interval / circuit-style formats and a fantastic mix of equipment based movements. We'll work dumbbells, Bosu's, slam balls, kettlebells, jump ropes and so much more to build functional strength, push our cardio endurance, get sweaty and have SO much fun! All levels are welcome and encouraged! This class will meet outside CVU. Please wear a mask to check in at the main entrance before your first class. Masks will not be required for outside classes.
  • Swing and Jitterbug Dance

    Terry makes learning swing fun and easy. With over 35 years of teaching experience and a step-by-step approach, everyone will be learning to swing, guaranteed! From Big Band to Rock 'n Roll, this "six-count" East-coast swing and jitterbug style is the place to start. Wear comfortable footwear, bring water, and a good sense of humor! Due to COVID, it isn't feasible to take single registrations. There will be no partner rotation, and people will need to register as a twosome to participate. Each couple will dance exclusively with their co-registrant. This class will meet inside CVU. Please wear a mask and check-in at the CVU main entrance before the start of class.
  • Ballroom Dancing

    This class is a great way to learn some standard ballroom dances that will have you gliding across the floor. Join longtime and talented instructor, Terry Bouricius, and learn the basics of Waltz, Rumba, Fox Trot, Merengue, and Tango. Practice between classes will have you dancing before you know it. Wear comfortable footwear, bring water, and a good sense of humor! Due to COVID, it isn't feasible to take single registrations.     Join Ellen Talbert for a gentle yoga class that focuses on integrating breath with movement, building strength, flexibility and balance. Bring your mat and water bottle, as well as blocks and strap (towel) if needed. We will have some yoga mats available to borrow. Open to all levels. This class will meet inside CVU.   • Thursday Yoga Flow

    Energize the end of the week with a vinyasa flow yoga class with Shelley filled with a focus on breath, movement, and calming rest. Music and yogic themes will be offered during the class. Some yoga experience helpful, yet not necessary. Bring comfortable clothing, water bottle, and a mat, along with an open mind, growth mindset, a smile, and some humor. This class will meet inside CVU. Please wear a mask to check in at the CVU main entrance before the start of the first class.
  • Qigong Beginner Series

    Qigong is a practice that can enhance overall well-being through body-posture, flowing movement and meditation. Students will learn how to skillfully activate, cultivate and circulate energy in a useful Five Element practice. The majority of the class is standing, however, seated modifications can also be shown. Each class ends with a short seated meditation. You are invited to bring a blanket, yoga mat, or bolster to sit on, or chairs will be available. UPDATE: The start date for the class has been moved from 9/13 to 9/27. This class will meet inside CVU, with the potential to move outside if the weather cooperates. Please wear a mask and check-in at the front entrance before the first class.
  • Coming Home: A Therapeutic Yoga Workshop

    How well do you know your Self? Are you communicating effectively with your body? Are your needs being met? The world is heavy right now and with that comes uncertainty, fear, pain and doubt. In order to come home to our Self and reconnect with our Truth we need a space in which we feel safe to explore. Join me in this workshop in a celebration of coming home to your Self. Reconnect to the wisdom of your body through breath and movement in this therapeutic Yoga experience. We will explore and embody different themes in this practice with an opportunity to notice how they show up in our body in the moment and take time to notice how the themes show up in our life. All are welcome, no previous experience with Yoga is necessary; come as you are. Bring a mat, and any props that would make you more comfortable (blanket, blocks, straps, pillow/bolster). Props are not ‘required’, but they might make participants more comfortable. We have some extra mats available. This class will meet inside CVU.     This i-STRIKE self-defense course is designed for women of all ages and capabilities. This course specifically covers sexual assault situations. In addition to learning effective physical techniques, your voice will become louder and more affirmative in setting verbal and physical boundaries, and you’ll learn to trust your intuition. This is team taught with a male black-belt who wears a full contact suit. No previous martial arts experience needed. This class will meet inside CVU.   • Oncology Yoga

    Yoga can positively affect emotional, mental and physical health. Oncology yoga is designed to meet the unique emotional and physical needs of those who have been touched by cancer. This workshop focuses on movements and poses to help increase strength and flexibility, stimulate the immune system and build bone density, manage pain, stress levels, fluid build-up from lymphedema and control breath to enhance emotional state. The goal of this workshop is to provide attendees with core approaches that they can start doing at home. If you know anyone who would benefit from this class, please share this information with them. Please bring a yoga mat and 2 yoga blocks. Mats are available if needed, and sturdy paper towel rolls can be used in place of blocks. This class will meet inside CVU.   • Intro to MMA: Muay Thai Kickboxing

    Are you interested in changing up your fitness routine? Are you curious about Mixed Martial Arts? Are you just looking for an amazing new outlet? Muay Thai or "The Art of Eight Limbs" is a Thai martial art that uses kicks, punches, knees, and elbow strikes along with standing grappling techniques to allow practitioners to maximize effectiveness of short and mid range strikes. Muay Thai will give you a full-body workout, build your self-defense skills, and increase your self-confidence. Come learn the basics from Amber Farr; a local instructor with over 9 years of experience in the art. Students should come prepared with 180" hand wraps and boxing gloves. Please wear non-marking footwear, workout attire, and bring a water bottle. There will be hand wraps available for purchase (bring $10) and loaner boxing gloves/striking pads for use (or you can bring your own). This class will meet inside CVU.
