Pie Extravaganza: Quiche & Fruit Pie
It’s all in the crust…Adele’s tried and true HOT CRUST method of making a HOT pie crust “will change your life” to quote a student in a previous class. In this class, Adele will walk you through the process of making a savory quiche to eat in class, and then each participant will take home a mini strawberry pie. Gentle Evening Yoga with Ellen
This gentle yoga class is a meditative, fluid, and soothing class suitable for all levels. Students will experience slow movements to warm the body and release stress and muscular tension, breathing techniques to support the nervous system, and simple postures to help build strength and stability. Suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.Bring your mat and water bottle, as well as blocks and strap (towel) if needed. We will have some yoga mats and blocks available to borrow. With this new understanding, you can start improving all of your relationships right away. This class will meet inside CVU.

Late Spring Medicinal Plant Walk
HOME (DIY) & GARDENING, NATURE & ANIMALS
Spring is the perfect season to start identifying and harvesting the medicinal herbs in your neighborhood, as you can track their progress and catch them at different stages of growth. We'll take a slow stroll through the CVU meadows and wooded edges, meeting common and helpful plants and diving into their uses and the best times to harvest for medicine. Get ready to use all your senses, and leave with a better sense of the green world around you. Bring waterproof walking shoes and notetaking materials! Sign up for both of Sophie's spring plant walks to further deepen your knowledge of medicinal plant ID and use. This class will meet inside CVU to start and then move outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather, as the class will take place outside CVU and may involve walking over some muddy and uneven ground. In the case of extreme weather, this class will meet a week from the scheduled date.

Getting to Know Your Car Workshop

Do you have any idea how to check if the oil is low, change a tire, add basic fluids when needed? Want to be informed about what to know when buying a used car? Join the techs from Girlington Garage, girlingtongarage.com, for a quick, down and dirty look at the basics of car care. Get to know the basic layout of your car under the hood, Vermont State Inspection requirements, how to avoid getting taken advantage of at the repair shop, or anything else concerning cars that you would like to know. This class will meet outside CVU.

Eritrean/Ethiopian Injera
COOKING & CUISINE
Injera is unique staple food to Ethiopia & Eritrea best known for spongy sourdough flatbread. It's a mixture of Teff (nutrient-dense & gluten-free), barley, corn & self-rising flour. Learn to mix the dough in class and carefully observe batter as it readies to be baked. Everyone will take a turn making injera and then take home a dinner prepared by Alganesh to enjoy. One meat and two vegetarian dishes will be served. This class will take place inside CVU.

Connected: Understanding & Growing your Relationship with your Child
ONE NIGHT UNIVERSITY
In parenting, we often focus on what we should do: What do I do when my toddler tantrums? What do I do when my teen is disrespectful? What we do is important, of course. Yet equally important is who we are to the child, our relationship with them. Learn how this relationship works in its healthy form and the core needs we fulfill within it for our kids to grow into their best selves. This class will meet inside CVU.

Paint and Pop with Fia!

Grab a friend, tap into your inner Monet! Using acrylic paints, create a waterlily scene on an 11x14 canvas while enjoying pop/seltzer during this fun and relaxing Paint and Pop event at CVU! Acrylic painting techniques will be covered as well as a bit of color theory while sipping on your favorite beverage and making some new friends. All materials are included in the fee. Seltzer and soda will be available, or bring your own non-alcoholic beverage of choice. No previous painting or art experience necessary. All levels welcomed! Minimum age: 12+

Mantras & Mala Bead Necklace Making

Learn how to make your own mala bead necklace with gemstones, lava, rudraksha and wooden beads. Mala bead necklaces have 108 beads and a tassel and are used to count mantras when meditating. When not being used as a tool, these necklaces symbolize our intent and presence through the power of their gemstones. These are beautiful creations, and perfect to wear all year around, or give as a very special gift. Laura Neal of Malas & Mandalas will teach you about the different properties of gemstones as well as discuss mantras to use with your Mala necklace. All quality materials such as beads, gemstones, strands, etc. are included in the fee. This class will meet inside CVU. Beads, Malas and Students! "Laura was a great instructor! Spirit Traffic – Share Your Stories of Adventure
ONE NIGHT UNIVERSITY
Everyone has a story. Come and share your story of adventure! Join author C. Jane Taylor in an evening of storytelling. Jane will kick off the event with a short reading from Spirit Traffic, her new adventure memoir (published by Magic Hill Press) about learning to ride a motorcycle at age 50 and embarking on a life-changing, seven-week, 10,000-mile motorcycle trip with her husband and son. After her reading, participants will be invited to share their own stories on the theme “Adventure as I see it.” Each story should illustrate a lesson learned and be limited to five-minutes. Please prepare your personal story ahead of time. Spirit Traffic has been featured in several national magazines, on podcasts, and on Vermont Public. The book was also the subject of a national book tour— by motorcycle—during the summer of 2022. Included in the class fee if a copy of Jane's book, Spirit Traffic, valued at $18. This class will meet inside CVU.

Turn a Wooden Pen!
FINE ARTS, CRAFTS, FIBER, WOOD, & PHOTOGRAPHY
Come learn the basics of pen turning with professional wood turner Andrew Duling. Pen turning is an excellent introduction to lathe work. It’s a quick, fulfilling, and inexpensive way to go from wood to finished product. Bring home a pen you can cherish for years or give as a gift. Each student will complete turning of one pen, with the option of turning an additional pen as time allows. Open to all ages 16+, students 12-16 welcome with an adult chaperone. All experience levels welcome! No prior woodworking experience required. All materials and use of equipment included in the fee. Bring safety eye goggles and wear closed toed shoes. No loose clothing! Wear your hair tied back or wear a hat.
