Introduction To American Sign Language (ASL): Part 1 - ONLINE

This course introduces the basics of American Sign Language (ASL) and is designed for students with no or minimal sign language to develop basic skills in use of ASL and knowledge of Deaf Culture. Emphasis is upon acquisition of comprehension, production and interactional skills using basic grammatical features. Homework will be assigned to help you progress with ease. Requirement: Students will need to purchase, prior to class, the workbook, "Signing Naturally: Student Workbook Unit 1-6," by Cheri Smith.

This class will meet online via Zoom. You will receive an email prior to the start date of your class with information on how to participate.

Laura Siegel

Prior to joining the team, Laura Siegel worked in social services and healthcare. She just graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with her MBA in Healthcare Management. Laura is trying to venture out back into the healthcare field. Meanwhile she loves teaching folks ASL!
