Have you always been interested in learning how to make a quilt? Here's your chance! This "Stashbuster Quilt" uses a fast and simple pattern for beginner and first-time quilters. It uses fat quarters and is rotary cut. Don't know what that means? No worries-you'll be guided through the whole process: from fabric choice to finishing your quilt. Your end result will be a lap size quilt ready for cold weather snuggles.
Participants will need to purchase the following supplies before the first class:
If you have any questions about this class or the supplies needed, please contact Access and we will put you in touch with Christine. Information on area fabric stores can be found here.
This is a beginner sewing and quilting class for students aged 13 and older.
This class will take place inside CVU.
In her previous life Christine happily spent 26 years teaching Spanish to middle schoolers. As for many of us, the Pandemic gave her an opportunity to re-assess and she decided to pursue a different career path. Christine is currently a Legal Administrative Assistant at a law firm in Burlington. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, walking her dog, playing games, traveling, and recreating outside. She has been a quilter for 20+ years and is an active member of the Vermont Modern Quilters Guild. Christine can often be found in her sewing room buried in cloth, covered in thread, and listening to podcasts.
