It seemed logical so we applied it to people too. Yet, today experts know so much much more about human brain development and child behavior. It's time to update our parenting plans! This class compares long-held ideas about misbehavior and discipline with the current science and a 5-step model for discipline. Beth Martell
Beth has studied human development for 35 years, and has been a parent educator for UVM Extension, a youth counselor for DCF, and a middle school teacher. She is currently a Life Coach with expertise in relationships, parenting, and life fulfillment. Vermont Afterschool and Northern Lights at CCV contract Beth as an instructor of professional development for teachers. Beth believes every human is innately intelligent and caring. From her Buddhist roots, her aim in every class is that participants deepen their compassion, curiosity, and joy.
