Watercolor for Beginners 2

FINE ARTS & CRAFTS / Visual Arts -
Winter/Spring 2023

Watercolor 2 continues your foundational skill-building in mixing colors, layering washes, and design composition.  If you have some knowledge of watercolor, but want to "brush" up on you skills then this 10 session (20 hour) course is for you!

Ginny will use guided photos and content for this class.  If you would prefer to use your own projects, that is possible as well, or you can join Watercolor Studio on Wed evenings.  All ages and levels welcome!

Quality materials are important in watercolor and we can supply you with brushes to keep and a reasonable amount of paint and paper. If you need a supply kit (valued at $50), please choose the option, "Including Supply Kit," when registering.

Ginny Joyner

Ginny Joyner began her career as an artist at a very early age, decorating her parent's furniture and walls with her lovely crayon drawings. She was told that paper was a more acceptable surface on which to create pictures and has since been pleased to find that people enjoy her work.

Born in Adelaide Australia, she has lived in Japan and many states along the Eastern Seaboard, from Florida to Massachusetts, settling in Vermont in 1989.
Ginny graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1986 with a BFA in Illustration. She has been a freelance illustrator for over 30 years with clients including Harper Collins Publishers, The W.S. Badger Co., Gardener's Supply, Sleeping Bear Press, Garlic Press and The Vermont Teddy Bear Co., among many others.
Her children's book, M is for Maple Syrup, A Vermont Alphabet, is part of the State-by-State series published by Sleeping Bear Press.
She is a member of the Vermont Watercolor Society and teaches watercolor classes to beginners and advanced students through programs in Colchester and Hinesburg, VT as well as in her home studio.
She is represented by The Three Pears Gallery in Dorest, VT, Grand Isle Artworks in Grand Isle, VT, The Art Shop in Cambridge, VT, Art on Main in Bristol, VT, as well as Mill Brook Gallery & Sculpture Garden, Concord, NH.
She lives in Charlotte, VT.  https://ginnyjoynerstudio.weebly.com/classes.html

"I have always been drawn to intricately patterned objects, natural and man-made, from butterfly wings, vibrant flowers and complicated seashells to European and Oriental porcelain, pastries, shoes and even the humble apple core."
